I moved to San Francisco in 1979 after graduating magna cum laude with a degree in theatre from State University of New York, New Paltz. In 1989, after having acupuncture for a never-ending cold, my acupuncturist suggested I see an intuitive healer. I set up an appointment with Francesca McCartney, founder of the Academy of Intuition Medicine.\u00ae After one session, I was compelled to study with Francesca. I enrolled in her school, and earned a certification as a Master of Intuition Medicine in 1992. I began my career as an Intuitive right after graduation.<\/p>\n

I have always been able to easily access the emotions of others, as well as my own emotions. In fact, I was so open to others\u2019 emotions that I would take on someone else\u2019s discomfort without understanding that what I was feeling was their emotional strife. In our first meeting, Francesca taught me that empathic people often merge their energies with others, even to the point of making themselves ill.<\/p>\n

That, as it turned out, was the root cause of the never-ending cold I couldn\u2019t shake. Francesca taught me how to make energy separations and within minutes I felt so much better (really!). Much to my surprise the \u201ccold\u201d disappeared. If you have never worked with an Intuitive, this may sound like magic, but it isn\u2019t!<\/p>\n

It did turn out to be a defining moment for me, since it led me to the work I do now and love. Developing my intuition has helped me to know and accept myself in a deep and profound way. It has also helped me to create better emotional and energetic boundaries. I bring all these skills into my work.<\/p>\n

Although I could not have predicted that I would have a career as an Intuitive, I believe the consciousness raising of the 60\u2019s and the metaphysical expressions of the 70\u2019s inspired me to explore my own soul work. I discovered the power of the I Ching<\/i> (the Chinese Book of Changes) and soon after that, the Norse Runes.<\/p>\n

All these forms of divination spoke to me at different times in my life. Each new insight furthered my soul-deep desire to study the metaphysical and to find a way to use this knowledge to help others. In time, I discovered that my real work is to help people connect with themselves on a deep level as well as to help them develop their intuition.<\/p>\n

It has been a privilege to work with so many clients and to witness their personal growth. When I\u2019m not working with people one-on-one, I teach\u00a0workshops, act professionally, teach acting to kids, and am a mom of a fabulous, inspiring boy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
